What is LPG?
LPG stands for Liquefied Petroleum Gas and is the generic name used for mixtures of hydrocarbons, primarily propane and butane

Why is LPG so much cheaper than petrol?
The LPG industry is very well established in Australia and there is an abundance of supply. Australia has plentiful natural supplies of LPG There is also no excise tax applied by the Australian Government on LPG. Both of these factors contribute to making LPG up to 70c a litre cheaper than petrol

How much can I save by converting my car to LPG?
The savings vary depending on the type of car you have and the vehicles usage. Obviously the more kilometers that you drive the more money you will save, however even people who travel very low kilometers can save significant amounts of money over the life of their vehicle. How much does it cost to convert a car?
This will depend on the type of vehicle to be converted and the licensed installer you select. Typical conversions can range from $2,000 to $4,000 and will also depend on whether you choose to have your vehicle run solely on LPG or both LPG and petrol, which is known as duel-fuel. this cost can be quickly recouped via the Government rebate and the savings made at the pump every time you fill up

What types of cars can get converted?
Almost all unleaded petrol-fuelled vehicles can be converted to LPG, subject to space limitations. Large sedans, utes, vans, station wagons, four-wheel drives can all be converted.

Is LPG readily available?
Yes, Australia leads the way with the world's largest per capita consumption of autogas using approximately 1.2 million tonnes (or 2.3 billion litres) per annum, consequently there are more than 3,200 retail autogas outlets around Australia

Is LPG good for the environment?
LPG Autogas powered vehicles emit significantly fewer greenhouse gases and other pollutants than their petrol-powered equivalents. With around 20% less ozone forming potential, between 10 - 15% lower greenhouse emissions and one-fifth air toxic emissions LPG is one of the most environmentally friendly fuels available

Can anyone install LPG?
No, LPG should only be installed by a licensed LPG installer, contact us for a fitter in your location

WIll my car be de valued if I fit LPG

No, in fact in recent times vehicles fitted with LPG are being sold for a premium of around $1500 compared to their petrol counterparts

WIll my car go slower on LPG
with modern autogas sequential multi point injection there is insignificant differences in driving and power outputs, in fact some vehicles develop more power on LPG than they do petrol
